    Plantation Managers

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee the growth, health, and development of crops, ensuring the correct planting, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control practices are followed.
    • Manage a team of workers and supervisors, ensuring that employees needs are met. Provide training and support to staff to ensure high levels of performance and efficiency.
    • Manage the plantation’s resources, including water, fertilizer, pesticides, and machinery. Ensure resources are used efficiently and sustainably.
    • Develop and implement planting and harvesting schedules to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
    •  Monitor the financial performance of the plantation, including costs of production and revenue.
    •  Ensure the plantation complies with all local and international agricultural regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards.
    • Oversee the proper maintenance of machinery and equipment used on the plantation, ensuring everything is operational and safe to use.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all plantation workers, ensuring a safe working environment.
    • Implement and promote sustainable agricultural practices, including soil conservation, water management, and eco-friendly pest management.
    • Compile and submit reports on progress, performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs). 

    Qualifications:

    • Education: A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or any other related field. 
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in plantation management, agricultural operations, or a related field. Experience in managing large teams and plantation operations.

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of crop management, pest control, irrigation systems, and soil management.
    • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Budgeting and financial management skills.
