Plastic Tanks Repair Technician at SunPoynt

The Plastic Tanks Repair Technician will be responsible for on-site and workshop-based plastic tank repairs. The role requires expertise in plastic welding, patching, reinforcement, and general repair techniques to restore tanks to full functionality.

This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of plastic tank repair techniques, welding, and material handling. The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in plastic tank repair and be passionate about delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

Plastic Tank Repair & Restoration

• Assess cracks, holes, and damages in plastic tanks and determine the best repair method.
• Use advanced plastic welding techniques to seal cracks and reinforce weak areas.
• Patch and reinforce plastic tank surfaces to extend their lifespan.
• Ensure all repairs are leak-proof, durable, and aesthetically presentable.
• Conduct final quality checks and water testing to confirm repair integrity.

On-Site Repair & Customer Service

• Travel to client locations to conduct on-site tank repairs.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service during repair jobs.
• Educate customers on proper tank maintenance to prevent future damage.
• Ensure all tools, materials, and safety equipment are used correctly on-site.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures when handling plastic welding tools and equipment.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during repairs.
• Adhere to company policies and industry standards for safe plastic welding practices.
• Keep the work environment clean and organized to prevent hazards.

Reporting & Documentation

• Document all repair work and update records for tracking service history.
• Provide customer reports and recommendations for tank maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of repair tools, materials, and safety gear.
• Report any challenges or complex repair cases to the supervisor.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in plastic tank repair (MANDATORY).
• Strong expertise in plastic welding techniques (hot air welding, extrusion welding, etc.).
• Ability to repair cracks, leaks, and holes in plastic tanks of various sizes.
• Experience working with polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) materials.
• Familiarity with plastic reinforcement methods for long-lasting repairs.
• Strong problem-solving skills in assessing damage and finding repair solutions.
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting and outdoor work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in welding, plastic fabrication, or related technical field (Preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience in water storage systems maintenance is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required).
