Plumbing/Water Heater Technician & Motorbike Rider at Gypsum Ceiling Supplies Ltd

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Plumbing/Water Heater Technician and Motorcycle Rider. This hybrid role involves installing and maintaining plumbing systems and water heaters while providing timely delivery services when needed.

Key Responsibilities

As a Plumbing/Water Heater Technician:

• Install, maintain, and repair water heaters (instant showers, storage heaters) and related plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing and water heater issues on-site.
• Advise customers on the proper use and maintenance of installed units.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Keep records of installations, service calls, and materials used.

As a Motorbike Rider

1. Deliver water heaters, plumbing materials, and small equipment to customers and installation sites.
2. Handle and document deliveries and collections accurately.
3. Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of the company motorbike.
4. Uphold road safety regulations and company delivery policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Certification in Plumbing, Mechanical, or a related field (at least Grade III or equivalent).
2. Proven experience in installing and servicing water heaters (minimum 2 years preferred).
3. Valid motorcycle riding license (Class F & G).
4. Good knowledge of Nairobi routes and traffic laws.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Physically fit and able to lift/move water heaters safely.
7. Good communication skills (English and Swahili).
8. Trustworthy, punctual, and committed to high-quality work.
