Powder Coating Machine Operator at Safer Power Ltd

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Powder Coating Machine Operator to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in powder coating, preferably within a sheet metal fabrication or electrical panel manufacturing environment. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate powder coating machines and related equipment efficiently and safely
• Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating (cleaning, masking, pre-treatment)
• Apply powder coating to MV/LV power distribution boards and other sheet metal products
• Monitor coating thickness, curing temperatures, and oven times to ensure quality standards
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with specifications
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
• Work closely with fabrication and quality control teams to meet production targets

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' proven experience as a Powder Coating Machine Operator
• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and electrical panels (MV/LV boards) is a strong advantage
• Good understanding of powder coating processes, materials, and curing techniques
• Ability to read and follow job specifications and work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop/manufacturing environment
