    Procurement Officer

    Reports To:  Admin & HR

    Job Summary

    The Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing and procuring fabrics, trims, packaging, spares, and other inputs required in apparel manufacturing. The role requires ensuring timely availability of quality materials at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relations and compliance with company policies. The position strictly requires prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the apparel or textile sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Procurement & Sourcing
      • Source reliable suppliers for fabrics, trims, packaging materials, and accessories.
      • Request, compare, and analyze quotations for quality and cost efficiency.
      • Negotiate favorable terms on pricing, delivery, and payment.
    • Order & Inventory Management
      • Raise and process purchase orders according to approved requisitions.
      • Coordinate with stores and production teams to monitor inventory levels.
      • Prevent production delays through timely replenishment of stock.
    • Supplier Management
      • Maintain professional relationships with local and international vendors.
      • Monitor supplier performance in delivery timelines, quality, and service.
      • Resolve supplier issues in collaboration with Quality Control and Production.
    • Compliance & Reporting
      • Adhere to procurement policies, EPZ, and industry regulations.
      • Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier contracts.
      • Prepare procurement reports for management review.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a purchasing/procurement role within a manufacturing company (apparel/textile industry preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of raw materials, trims, and garment manufacturing processes.
    • Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • High integrity and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
