Product Manager (Core Gateway) at Cellulant Corporation

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communicate the product vision and mission to the teams

Generate reports

• Gather requirements and provide quality documentation of detailed user/market requirements.
• Bring vision to the team in the form of new ideas and approaches. 

Develop roadmaps and execution 

• Drive the coordination and clear communication of a multi-product roadmap, working across multiple groups.
• Research new use cases, bugs, issues, platform architecture, stack changes in various industry segments.
• Define and drive product strategies, and overall roadmaps in collaboration with business partners.
• Drive prioritization and resourcing planning, and decision alignment across functions and levels.

Define, track and manage product performance

• Owns Product Performance in a specific Industry. 
• Monitors and analyzes product performance, converts data into meaningful business insights and make recommendations to stakeholders for improvisation.
• Design wireframes, graphics, screen mock-ups and participate in usability evaluations.

Research and Development 

• Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application.
• Work closely with the engineering teams to design, schedule and deliver in an agile environment.
• Convert localized trends and requirements into product features.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Must have experience:

• Around 5~10 years of Industrial experience (Telecom, Banking, Fintech, Mobile Money etc.).
• Product Management experience and coming from a payments gateway background.
• Build and manage a payment platform (ideally for a payments processor or a switch background).
• Ability to drive a products through that product maturity life cycle.
• Work in complex work environment  and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments, tasks and responsibilities.
• Empathetic to customer needs, work to understand the questions that customers ask and why. 
• Project Management experience.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle stages.
• Excellent skills in how to write Business/Market Requirement Cases, User Stories and Solutions.
• Functional product experience e.g. Where a merchant uploads a form.
• Non-functional requirements such as scalability, risk assessment, availability, reliability and security. Anticipate these issues in a payment gateway environment.
• Deep understanding of Telecom, Banking, Finance, modern trade, e-commerce and payments ecosystem.
• Ability to conduct independent research and convert data into meaningful business insights.
• Able to manage software engineers.

Experience that will count in your favour: 

• Software engineering/systems engineering experience (Lead Developer or Software Engineering Manager).
• Tech Stack knowledge - Java, Java Spring Boot + Angular.
• Technical project/program manager experience.
• Strong Agile knowledge.
• Strong API knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Around 5~10 years of Industrial experience (Telecom, Banking, Fintech, Mobile Money etc.).
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar role.
