    Production Shift Coordinator

    Job Description:

    • As a Production Shift Coordinator at Mars, you will be a key figure in our production management team, responsible for overseeing the smooth execution of our production plans. You'll drive efficiency, maintain our high quality and safety standards, and actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of our production processes. This role requires a combination of leadership, problem-solving, and collaborative skills to achieve optimal production performance and deliver our beloved products.

    What are we looking for?

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology, Science, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
    • A minimum of 4 years of experience within a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment.
    • You're a strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to relate to people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
    • Proven experience in problem-solving and handling challenging situations effectively.
    • People management experience is advantageous, along with a passion for working with and developing teams.

    What would be your key responsibilities?

    • Lead shift handover meetings and performance reviews, utilizing systems like FMOS and iObeya to track and deliver KPIs for safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Act as the first point of contact for operational issues, ensuring clear communication and timely escalation to the relevant teams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Quality, Safety, and Engineering to ensure consistent product quality and process reliability.
    • Promote and drive a culture of continuous improvement using LEAN principles and structured problem-solving.
    • Manage inventory for your area, from ordering consumables to conducting stock counts and investigating variances.
    • Oversee shift scheduling to ensure production plans are met efficiently, meeting customer demand.
    • Act as an Emergency Manager, assessing risks and leading the response to any emergency situations in the factory.
