Production Technician - Acid Regeneration Plant at Safal Group

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations, Process Control & Quality

• Monitor and control ARP operations to support safe, stable and efficient acid regeneration processes.
• Monitor process performance, operating conditions and quality parameters and coordinate actions to address process deviations.
• Support process stability through process monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Maintain accurate operational, process and quality records to support traceability and performance monitoring.

Equipment Reliability & Maintenance Coordination

• Conduct equipment inspections, condition monitoring and basic troubleshooting activities to support plant reliability and availability.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and support planned shutdowns, breakdown interventions and equipment improvement initiatives.
• Support TPM, Autonomous Maintenance and operational excellence initiatives to improve plant performance.

Safety, Health, Environment & Compliance

• Promote compliance with HSEQ requirements, process safety standards, chemical handling requirements and environmental controls.
• Monitor and report safety, environmental and process risks including spills, leaks, abnormal emissions, hazards and near misses.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in line with 6S requirements.

Reporting & Communication

• Maintain operational records, logs and reports and communicate plant status, quality concerns, equipment issues and operational priorities.
• Coordinate effectively with Pickling Line, Maintenance, Laboratory and Production teams to support uninterrupted operations.
• Participate in shift meetings, toolbox talks and continuous improvement activities.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), TPM, Kaizen and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Support implementation of approved improvement actions within the assigned work area.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• KCSE Certificate.
• Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in a manufacturing or process industry environment.
• At least one (1) year experience in Acid Regeneration Plant operations, chemical processing, utilities or related industrial processes.

Added Advantage

• Knowledge of Acid Regeneration Plant operations and hydrochloric acid regeneration processes.
• Understanding of process control systems, pumps, blowers, burners and heat recovery systems.
• Knowledge of environmental management and industrial emissions control systems.
• Training in 6S, TPM, Autonomous Maintenance and Process Safety Management.
