    Program Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Coordination & Technical Supervision

    • Coordinate and monitor all program activities at the Portreitz project site in consultation with the Regional Manager.
    • Supervise all Project Technical Officers, including government-attached personnel posted to the branch.
    • Oversee the development and execution of program deliverables, leading project planning, action plans, and activity-based budgeting.
    • Employ resourcefulness in project design, monitoring, and implementation, proactively troubleshooting challenges and deploying creative solutions.
    • Prepare and submit timely, high-quality program reports to donors, government partners, and the APDK National Programs Manager.
    • Oversee the preparation of annual activity-based program budgets as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports.
    • Approve routine program payments as required, ensuring proper utilization and full accountability of donor funds in collaboration with the Regional Manager and Branch Accountant.
    • Enforce strict adherence to project and reporting deadlines and donor compliance at all times.
    • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with like-minded partners to guarantee smooth activity implementation and achievement of donor-funded results.
    • Coordinate and liaise with private sector entities, government departments, and civil society organizations to explore strategic partnerships.
    • Lead proposal writing and fundraising initiatives geared toward raising resources for the Coast Branch.
    • Carry out any other duties as may be delegated by the Regional Manager or Programs Manager

    Qualifications, Experience & Desired Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Disability Studies, Public Health, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of program management experience in an NGO setting, preferably in rehabilitation, disability inclusion, or community development.
    • Strong project planning, budgeting, and financial management skills.
    • Proven grant management and proposal writing experience.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability to supervise technical teams and government assignees.
    • Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
