    Program Officer Fiscal Justice

    As a Program Officer – Fiscal Justice at Open Society-Africa, you will be responsible for:

    • Delivering fiscal justice work in a multi-country context.
    • Supporting research, knowledge creation and management on economic policies and more specifically on fiscal justice.
    • This work includes strengthening African and global connections, including helping to link civil society, research, and movements to build political pressure momentum against illicit financial flows.
    • Budgeting
    • External Communications and Advocacy
    • Internal Communications
    • Project Management
    • Research and Recommendations
    • Strategic Planning
    • Grantmaking to Individuals
    • Grantmaking to Organizations
    • Knowledge Management

    TECHNICAL SKILLS

    • Analytical Processes, Assessment, Planning and Organizing, Presentation Skills, Reporting, and Writing Skills.

    INDIVIDUAL COMPETENCIES

    • Advancing Diversity and Inclusion, Expertise, Getting the Right Things Done, Leading Change, Managing Time and Money, Strategic Thinking, Working Well with OSF Colleagues, and Working Well with Others.

    EDUCATION

    • Postgraduate degree.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Substantial work experience, including proficiency in field of expertise.
    • Minimum number years of relevant working experience—7 years.
    • The candidate should have experience in managing continental networks working on development finance, illicit financial flows, debt and tax justice.
    • Experience in managing large grants and fluid partnerships is crucial.
    • Practical knowledge on the intersectionality between economic policy and gender is crucial.
