Programme Management Consultant at UN-Habitat

Duties and Responsibilities.

• The incumbent will work under the overall supervision of the Chief, Urban Practices Branch. The main objective of this consultancy;
• Quarterly report on summary of activities based on weekly monitoring of the activities and new developments of the Communities of Practice
• Updated dedicated database with information on the communities of practice through dedicated database, from which weekly updates can be shared with the Chief of the Urban Practices Branch.
• Report on the best practices retrieved from communities of practice's sessions.
• Database with content for the communities of practice monthly broadcasts with inputs received from CoPs focal points.
• Database with all correspondence items to organize and moderate the community of practice focal points coordination meetings.
• Translations of the Catalogue of Services in the following languages: French, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic, Portuguese.
• Digital version of the Catalogue of Services (web platform).
• Concept notes and proposals for podcast episodes.
• Digital skills mapping platform.

Qualifications/special skills

• Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in social sciences, urban planning or development or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the field of communication is required.
• Experience in working in an international organization such as the UN is desired.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this consultancy, excellent writing communication skills of English and French language are required.
