    Project Coordinator OVC Case Management

    Key Responsibilities:

    OVC case management

    • Support strengthening of OVC case management systems of Local Implementing Partners (LIPs) based on PEPFAR OVC case management standardized approaches and tools for identification, assessment, case plan development, service provision or referral, monitoring and case closure.
    • Work with LIPs to effectively plan and implement OVC interventions within the four OVC domains of Healthy, Safe, Schooled and Stable to ensure; timely service provision, graduation and transition to resilience for OVC and their families.
    • Support regular joint support supervision visits to Local Implementing Partners and OVC households
    • Support coordination of LIPs by planning and organizing for review meetings, identification of capacity gaps, and development of action plans for capacity building.
    • Provide technical assistance to LIPs to conduct quality household’s assessment, to develop quality case plans, ensure timely case plans implementation, regular monitoring of case plans implementation to track progress towards graduation.
    • Coordinate technical guidance to LIPs on bi-directional referrals and strengthened referral networks amongst health and social service providers.
    • Work closely with other service delivery team/s; Health, household economic strengthening, Capacity Building and System Strengthening (CBSS), and M&E to ensure that critical information collected within the case management process is used to inform project plans and stakeholders advocacy and systems strengthening efforts.
    • In collaboration with the MEL ensure collection of quality case mmanagement data, support partners to analyze and use case management data to inform planning and implementation of the OVC interventions.
    • Conduct continuous capacity building of case management workforce (LIP staff and community workforce) volunteers on OVC case management approaches.
    • Ensure that LIPs are supported and mentored to provide timely age appropriate and quality services to OVC and their households

    OVC and DREAMS NextGen integration

    • Work with LIPs to coordinate OVC-DREAMS integration activities including co-enrolment
    • Support LIPs to strengthen OVC and DREAMS cross referrals
    • In liaison with DREAMS support LIPs to identify AGYW for mentorship and consideration into OVC service delivery paid opportunities
    • Work with LIPs to ensure co-enrolment of eligible AGYW into OVC or DREAMS program appropriately
    • Provide liaison with CIHEB DREAMS in Nairobi and Dhibiti DREAMS program in Kiambu county for co-enrolment
    • Support LIPs to conduct OVC DREAM coordination meeting to review and to monitor monitor progress of co-enrolment, service provision and empowerment of AGYW

    Required Professional Experience

    • Must have a minimum of five years’ experience with regards to the designing, planning, and implementation; supervising and reporting on integrated development projects.
    • At least 5 years’ experience working in OVC or DREAMS PEPFAR funded projects - with wide coverage area funded by USG Demonstrated experience in implementation of OVC case management to address project participants needs Demonstrated experience working in health, social protection, education and resilience/livelihood building integrated projects
    • Excellent interpersonal, writing and oral presentation skills Familiarity with programme cycle management, approaches and tools including participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation
    • Good understanding of financial controls and procedure
    • Direct experience of programme appraisal, monitoring and evaluation and developing capacity of local partners
    • Highly flexible and organized, able to manage multiple, simultaneous demands and willing to take on new tasks on an ad hoc basis
    • Ability to work both on own initiative and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment while adhering to deadlines
    • Proficient in written and spoken Kiswahili and English.
    • Experience working with stakeholder feedback and complaints and response mechanisms
    • Ability to take initiatives, team player who is able to work with minimum supervision Computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    Required Education

    • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Environmental health/public health/social science/community development /Nutrition or related field from a recognized university.
