The African Forest Forum is recruiting an intern - Project Implementation to be based at its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya to provide support in the implementation of the Sida supported project on Transforming the African Forest Forum to enhance its capacity to improve livelihoods and environmental stability through better management of African forest and tree resources.
Required Qualifications
MSc in Forestry, Environment, Natural Resources Management or a related field. Applications from candidates close to defending their MSC degree will also be considered.
Understanding of the concept of sustainable forest management and demonstrable experience / interest in forestry, natural resources management, environment, climate change or related areas.
Good understanding of statistics and some knowledge of data processing and analysis software.
Show ability to work in a team, and in a culturally diverse work environment.
Good written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
