    Project Officer - Global Fund -HIV

    Position: Project Officer - Global Fund HIV

    Reporting to:Area Programs Manager

    Grade Level: 12

    Purpose of Position

     

    To ensure successful implementation of Global Fund HIV programme through a conditional cash plus project to reduce the risk of HIV among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) aged 10-24 years in Turkana County.

    Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

    • A degree in Nursing Sciences , Clinical Medicine, Public health and Environmental health, Nutrition & Dietetics, Social Work or their equivalent.
    • A minimum of 3 years working experience in HIV community programs with BIAS on Adolescents and Young Persons
    • Experience in HIV & AIDS prevention, Advocacy and strong partnership with GoK ministries
    • Familiarity with the Global Fund HIV Programming and implementation guidelines will be an added advantage.
    • Computer proficiency in use of MS Office ((Excel, word, PowerPoint etc)
    • Registered with Kenya Nutrition and Dietetics Institute.
    • Effective in written and verbal communication in English and Kiswahili.

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

    • Good interpersonal, organizational and management skills
    • The holder of this position must be a results orientated who can handle a heavy work load as well as manage and satisfy multiple and at times conflicting organizational, donor and other stakeholder demands.
    • Demonstrated training, facilitation, mobilization and coordination skills at both community and organization level
