    Project Officer, SRHRplusD Festival

    Responsibilities:
    Project Planning and Coordination:

    • Develop a comprehensive project plan for the SRHRplusD Festival, outlining key activities, timelines, and resources.
    • Coordinate all aspects of the festival, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and policy advocacy goals.

    Policy Analysis and Research:

    • Conduct in-depth research on current sexual reproductive health policies, identifying gaps, challenges, and opportunities for advocacy.
    • Analyze policy documents and propose evidence-based recommendations for policy improvements.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including policymakers, advocacy groups, healthcare professionals, government agencies, NGOs, community leaders to foster collaboration and support for the festival.
    • Cultivate partnerships with organizations that share similar goals in sexual reproductive health rights advocacy.
    • Facilitate dialogue and consultations to gather input and perspectives from diverse stakeholders.

    Program Development:

    • Work closely with the advocacy team to design a diverse and engaging program for the festival, including workshops, panel discussions, performances, and interactive activities that emphasizes policy discussions, expert panels, workshops, and advocacy strategies.
    • Ensure that the program addresses a wide range of sexual reproductive health rights issues and perspectives and aligns with the goals of influencing policy change.

    Legislative Advocacy:

    • Develop strategies for engaging with legislators and policymakers to advocate for favorable sexual reproductive health rights policies.
    • Coordinate advocacy efforts, including meetings, briefings, and campaigns, to influence policy decision-makers.

    Logistics and Event Management:

    • Oversee the logistical arrangements for the festival, including venue selection, equipment procurement, participant registration, and overall event coordination.
    • Collaborate with vendors, sponsors, and service providers to ensure a smooth execution of the festival.

    Community Outreach:

    • Develop and implement strategies to promote the festival within the community and wider public emphasizing the policy advocacy aspect.
    • Utilize various communication channels, including social media, press releases, and community partnerships, to maximize outreach.

    Advocacy Materials and Messaging:

    • Collaborate with the communication team to develop advocacy materials, including brochures, banners, and multimedia content, to convey key messages on sexual reproductive health rights.
    • Ensure that messaging is inclusive, culturally sensitive, and aligned with advocacy goals.

    Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the impact of the advocacy festival on policy awareness and change.
    • Collect and analyze data on participant feedback, policy engagement, and knowledge gained to measure the effectiveness of advocacy efforts.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of festival activities, policy discussions, participant interactions, and outcomes.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports to internal and external stakeholders, summarizing key policy advocacy achievements and challenges.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. Public Health, Policy Studies, Social Sciences, Gender, International Development and or relevant field)
    • Proven experience in project management, policy advocacy or public health initiatives, preferably in the field of sexual reproductive health rights.
    • Previous experience in Disability Rights and Inclusion, and working with women with disabilities
    • Strong understanding of sexual reproductive health rights policies and advocacy strategies.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
