The Save the Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children, is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children's rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries
ROLE PURPOSE:
As a movement Save the Children generates information that is used for multiple purposes, including to prioritise and improve our decision making, This because in a results-driven organization, we need to have immediate visibility of where we risk not delivering intended results for children, prompting corrective action. We need to frame management reviews around a timely understanding of whether or not our work is on track to achieve its intended results for children in our projects.
One key tool to enable this results-based management decision making is “Projects-on-track”. The purpose of the projects-on-track indicators is to track progress and effectiveness of our projects and use this for management decision making. It measures achievement of project outputs vs targets (i.e. “are we doing what we said we would do?”) and achievement of project outcomes vs targets (i.e. “are we effective, making a difference to children’s lives as expected?”).
This role will support the global gathering and analysis of the Projects-on-track indicator data. Working with functional experts from across the movement, this role will be responsible to collect, enter, quality control, analyse and present data on how our projects are on track to deliver their intended outputs and outcomes. This is a short-term role to boost coverage of Projects on Track data ahead of automation with the PRIME management information system over 2022-24.
