    Psychologist

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team.

    LOCATION: BUSIA

    Overall Responsibility

    To provide professional psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for patients experiencing mental, emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges — supporting their mental wellness, functional recovery, and overall quality of life while contributing to a holistic, patient-centered care model within the hospital setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct thorough psychological assessments using standardized tools, interviews, and clinical observations to evaluate patients\' mental health conditions.
    2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices.
    3. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, and other therapeutic modalities, to address patients\' emotional and behavioral challenges.
    4. Assess and intervene during mental health crises, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
    5. Facilitate group therapy sessions to address specific mental health issues and promote peer support and skill-building.
    6. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
    7. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards.
    8. Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in clinical psychology and contribute to the hospital\'s knowledge base through research and publication.
    9. Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in all clinical activities.
    10. Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

    Job Requirements

    1. Degree in Clinical Psychology, Psychology or related field.
    2. Should be registered by KCPA/KPA
    3. Experience in providing clinical services in a mental health setting.
    4. Proficiency in psychological assessment tools and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
    5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    6. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
    7. Knowledge of ethical guidelines and compliance with confidentiality regulations.
