Job Summary:

• The Driver is responsible for providing reliable and safe driving services to support the transportation needs of the organization, ensuring the vehicle is well maintained, roadworthy, and operated in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely transport staff, visitors, documents, and goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the assigned vehicle.
• Conduct routine checks on the vehicle’s condition (oil, water, tire pressure, lights, etc.).
• Ensure all vehicle documents (insurance, inspection, logbook) are valid and up to date.
• Maintain accurate vehicle mileage and fuel records in the logbook.
• Report any mechanical problems or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Ensure compliance with all road safety rules and traffic regulations.
• Assist in basic administrative duties when not driving, such as messenger services or running office errands.
• Handle company property and information with confidentiality and care.
• Ensure punctuality and professional conduct at all times.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE C+) or a College Certificate
• Experience: At least 3–5 years of proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a corporate or NGO setting.
• License: Valid driving license (Class BCE or as applicable).
• Certificate of Good Conduct: Required and up to date.

Additional Certifications (an added advantage):

• First Aid training
• Defensive driving course
• Basic mechanical knowledge
