Quality Assurance Manager at Nutri Nuts and Fruits Limited

Food Safety Management System:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the factory’s Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Regularly review and update quality control procedures, standards, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance to TACCPs, VACCPs, HACCP, SOPs and Regulatory programmes.

Product Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

Inspection and Testing:

• Oversee and manage the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Develop and maintain inspection criteria and test methods.

Compliance and Audits:

• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards (e.g., OHS, KEPHIS, KEBs, AFA, FDA, FSSC, ISO).
• Prepare for and manage internal and external audits.
• Maintain documentation and records required for compliance and audits.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, train, and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to quality assurance staff.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement solutions to enhance product quality.
• Lead initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Customer Satisfaction:

• Address customer complaints and concerns regarding product quality.
• Work with the sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and present reports on quality performance, trends, and issues to senior management.
• Maintain detailed records of quality control activities and findings.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the food processing industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and practices.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards (e.g. and not limited to ISO, FSSC).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

      Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Certification in Quality Management
• Experience with macadamia nut processing or similar food products.
