    Raspberry Pi IoT Developer

    About the role:

    Ilara Health are looking thire a software engineer whcan assist with the design of this IoT Device. The main challenge for this role will be data acquisition and data integration, essentially ensuring the IoT device acquires the necessary data, formats it correctly, then pushes it tthe end point (Ilara Health cloud).

    The project is unique and there isn’t necessarily one correct method, sit’s essential that the right candidate for this role is comfortable working out of their comfort zone and happy trialling new techniques tsolve isolated problems.

    Responsibilities:

    •  This is a new team within Ilara Health syou will be given a broad range of responsibilities that may change over time. Initially they will include the following:
    • Designing and maintaining the Firmware for the IoT device
    • Support with the instalment of IoT devices in our clinics
    • Work alongside the Ilara Tech team tensure the data being
    • pushed tthe cloud is formatted correctly.

    Candidate requirements:

    • Programming languages (Python 3, MUST) (C, C++, Rust, SUGGESTED)
    • Experience working with embedded microcontroller boards like
    • Raspberry PI’s or Arduinos
    • Experience with serial protocols such as SPI or UART
    • Minimum of an undergraduate degree in computer software,
    • communication networks, microelectronics, or similar majors
    • Comfortable working with hardware (sd cards, raspberry pi’s, serial communication, ethernet ports etc.)
    • Familiar with mainstream technologies, frameworks, and applications of the IoT space
    • Ability tunderstand communication protocols – this may involve
    • learning new health related protocols such as HL7
    • Basic understanding of networking and IP addressing
    • Willingness twork in unknown environments and learn new skills
    • Ability tbe very openminded and creative whilst approaching a
    • problem
    • Loves a challenge
