Relational Database Administrator
- Job Type Full Time
- Qualification BA/BSc/HND
- Experience 3 years
- Location Nairobi
- Job Field Data, Business Analysis and AI
Applicants must be graduate IT professionals with certification and minimum 3 years relevant experience.
- Ensure availability and production of databases that support core application.
- Monitor the database system to ensure secure services with minimum downtime. Create users, roles and level of access.
- Support and maintain production of new and test databases according company policies.
- Performing routine database backups to avoid data loss.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Experience in design and administration of logical and relational databases.
- Proficiency in Oracle database versions, Oracle cloud controls and Oracle ASM.
- Strong understanding of Spatial database systems and analysis.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSQL Server, SQLite
- Have database administration certification from reputable database software vender.
