    Research Fellow - Health Technology Assessment Specialist

    Position Responsibilities

    • Develop economic models to predict the short- and long-term costs and benefits of a health technology
    • Assess the financial impact of introducing a new technology or intervention into a healthcare system
    • Work with public health professionals and other stakeholders to gather input on the real-world use and impact of technologies in health practices
    • Conduct systematic reviews of scientific literature to assess the disease burden, determine clinical effectiveness and safety of health technologies
    • Conduct epidemiological and costing analysis for health interventions and technologies
    • Analyze the cost-effectiveness of health technologies by comparing the cost of an intervention relative to its health outcomes
    • Support training and mentoring of healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers in the principles of HTA and its application in health decision-making

    Position Requirements

    • A Bachelor of Bachelor of Pharmacy, Epidemiology, Public Health or Statistics degree or related field
    • Masters in Epidemiology or Health Economics
    • A PhD degree with a focus on Health Technology Assessment (completed or near completion)
    • At least 5 years’ experience in roles that evaluate the cost-effectiveness of health technologies
    • Demonstrated understanding of how healthcare systems operate, including budgeting, reimbursement, and health policy
    • Experience in writing scientific grants and peer reviewed manuscripts
    • Proficiency in data analysis, economic modeling, and statistical methods
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with healthcare data
    • Experience with Health Technology Assessment
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills
