    Research Lead

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced researcher to lead our R&D efforts. As a Research Lead, you will play a crucial role in conducting trials, analyzing data, and developing innovative organic fertilizer formulations. You will work closely with Safi’s leadership team to create organic fertilizers that align with the company’s expansion strategy.

    Responsibilities:

    • With the CEO, define a biochar-based organic fertilizer research agenda for Safi Organics that reflects its growth aspirations.
    • Implement the research agenda, collaborating with research organizations, agronomists and soil scientists to develop high-quality biochar-based organic fertilizer products.
    • Document research findings and contribute to intellectual property development.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Soil Science, Chemistry, or related field. Master’s preferred.
    • Proven experience in fertilizer product research and development.
    • Proven expertise in the physical and chemical properties of biochar, how these differ based on process and feedstock, biochar’s application as a soil amendment, and a clear understanding of the latest research on biochar nutrient enrichment.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlin
