    Communications Manager: Impact & Policy

    Job purpose:

    • Effectively communicate Ripple Effect’s impact and USP to inspire existing and attract new
    • support – funders, partners, and advocates. Establish Ripple Effect as an authoritative voice in
    • our specialist areas, and inspire positive change in rural Africa.

    Key accountabilities:

    • Creating engaging content to support all teams in their marketing and reporting of impact.
    • Manage the production of Impact Reports, Annual Review, position and policy papers, including: establishing need and priorities, interviewing, writing, commissioning, editing, and liaising with designer etc
    • Data visualisation and interpretation appropriate to different audiences, including sector specialists, donors, and general public.
    • Working alongside the Content Manager to combine powerful impact communications and emotive storytelling , which reflect our values and policies
    • Work alongside the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation to identify audience needs for impact measures.
    • Research and manage Ripple Effect’s policy needs and opportunities to reach our communications goal.
    • Support the Communications team to deliver the organisation’s strategy

    Learning & skills

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in report or policy communications – all sectors considered. Must have
    • proven track record of interviewing, writing reports and data interpretation, for a multitude of audiences.
    • Working for an international organisation is desirable and ability to work alongside teams in different countries.
    • Minimum of C grade at GCSE English or equivalent
    • This role requires experience of managing your own projects and timelines and ability to prioritise against competing needs.
