    SACCO Manager

    Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Reporting to Management Committee, the Sacco Manager will have the following duties;

    1. Provide oversight to the SACCO operations and offer technical assistance to the SACCO Management Committee.
    2. Develop necessary policy documents and regulations that would ensure smooth operations of the SACCO according to the set guidelines.
    3. Ensure that all SACCO data and information is well documented and archived.
    4. Monitor the operations of the SACCO and ensure that all set targets are attained within the set timelines.
    5. Work together with committee in preparation, analysis and presentation of comprehensive, timely, reliable and compliant financial reports.
    6. Ensure that all financial documents are up to date and that books of accounts are well kept.
    7. Provide guidance on the adoption and/or implementation of sound and up to date accounting systems.
    8. Ensure effective implementation of financial and accounting policies and procedures.
    9. Management of the general and subsidiary ledgers in accordance with internationally accepted accounting and financial reporting standards and preparation of final accounts for audit.
    10. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
    11. Prepare and verify monthly statements for members and keep records.
    12. Reconciling the bank account and performing other general accounting duties as required

    Qualification and Requirements.

    1. A Business related Degree.
    2. CPA K/ACCA
    3. Minimum of three years working experience in a busy financial institution preferably within the Co-operative Movement.
    4. Diploma in Co-operative Management will be an added advantage. Combined knowledge in General Management/Administration as well as Accounting.
    5. Good communication skills both oral and written.
