Primary Purpose and Scope the Job

The Sales Data Clerk is responsible for accurately capturing, updating, and maintaining sales-related data to support reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency. The role ensures that sales records, customer information, and transaction details are properly documented, accurate, and easily retrievable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify the accuracy of sales entries, invoices, and receipts
• Maintain organized sales records and databases
• Prepare routine sales reports and summaries
• Reconcile sales figures with supporting documents
• Identify and report discrepancies or missing data
• Assist the sales and accounts teams with data requests
• Ensure data confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity
• Support filing and documentation of sales paperwork
• Receive, review, and process customer orders (LPOs, emails, calls)
• Ensure timely and accurate order entry into the system
• Track pending and completed orders
• Coordinate order confirmation, pricing, and product availability
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Job specifications:

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Business, IT, Accounting, or a related field

Experience

• One year experience in data entry, sales administration, or clerical work is an added advantage
