    Sales Intern

    We are seeking a proactive Sales Intern to support on-the-ground outreach activities aimed at increasing awareness, adoption, and utilization of JobsKona’s services. The role involves direct interaction with both jobseekers and employers to promote our platform, generate leads, and facilitate conversions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a results-driven mindset.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Promote JobsKona’s services to jobseekers and businesses (employers) through field activation campaigns, including product demonstrations, flyering, and data collection.
    • Guide jobseekers through the registration and sign-up process on the platform.
    • Upsell premium service packages, including job listings and employer branding tools, to local businesses.
    • Track and maintain detailed records of daily interactions, conversions, and prospects.
    • Provide real-time feedback to marketing and product teams based on insights from the field.
    • Participate in daily check-ins, team briefings, and performance reviews to ensure targets are met.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong understanding of urban youth culture and the challenges faced by jobseekers.
    • Ability to engage and build rapport with diverse individuals and businesses.
    • Goal-oriented with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to handle rejection and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Highly organized, punctual, and able to maintain accurate records.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • A diploma or higher qualification in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in field marketing, direct sales, or customer-facing roles is preferred.
    • Must own a smartphone and be proficient with digital tools and data tracking.
    • Familiarity with Nairobi neighborhoods and the ability to commute independently.
    • Fluency in both English and Kiswahili is required.
