Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Scrap Procurement Coordinator to join our team specializing in the recycling of PVC pipes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the PVC pipe recycling industry, possess excellent negotiation and communication skills, and be capable of managing the logistics and operations associated with scrap collection and processing.

Responsibilities

• Identify sources of PVC pipe scrap, including construction sites, plumbing companies, and other potential suppliers.
• Negotiate terms and agreements for the purchase of PVC pipe scrap.
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers while actively seeking new ones to expand the supply chain.
•  Oversee the collection of PVC pipe scrap from various sources.
• Supervise the sorting and categorizing of collected scrap based on quality and type.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of scrap materials to minimize waste and maintain safety standards.
• Coordinate transportation of collected scrap materials to the recycling facility.
• Monitor and maintain transportation equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards related to PVC pipe recycling.
• Maintain accurate records of scrap transactions, including quantities, suppliers, and pricing.
• Work closely with the recycling facility to deliver high-quality materials for processing.
• Keep track of inventory levels and ensure an adequate supply of PVC pipe scrap for recycling operations.

Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in recycling or waste management 
• Experience as a scrap dealer, preferably in the PVC pipe recycling industry.
• Knowledge of PVC pipe materials and their recycling processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and handle heavy materials when necessary.
