Security Supervisor at Surge Energy

Job Description:

Position Overview: The Security Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all security operations at our manufacturing plant. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential security risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the security team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard the manufacturing plant, its employees, and assets.
• Conduct regular patrols to monitor premises, identify security vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, and take appropriate action to address the situation.
• Maintain accurate records of security-related activities, including incident reports, shift logs, and access control records.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and human resources, to address security concerns and develop comprehensive security solutions.
• Conduct investigations into security breaches, thefts, or other incidents, and work with law enforcement as necessary to resolve issues.
• Stay informed about current security trends, technologies, and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to enhance the effectiveness of security measures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of [4] years of experience in security operations, with at least [2] years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and techniques, with the ability to apply them effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Proficiency in using security systems, such as CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the capacity to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
