Security Systems Technician at Biometrics Technology Ltd.

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Systems Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of advanced electronic security systems at client sites. This role requires strong technical expertise in CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Structured Cabling, barriers, gate automation, turnstiles, bollards, and integrated security solutions.
• As a Security Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding client environments by delivering reliable, innovative, and compliant security solutions. You will be the technical backbone of our projects—ensuring systems are deployed to the highest standards, remain operational, and provide long-term value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, test, and commission CCTV surveillance systems (IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, VMS, and associated equipment)
• Implement and maintain access control systems (biometric readers, card readers, controllers, locks, sensors, etc.)
• Deploy and support intrusion detection systems (control panels, detectors, sirens, and peripherals)
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of security systems
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, power, and communication faults
• Configure and troubleshoot IP addresses, switches, PoE, VLANs, and other network components supporting security systems
• Conduct site surveys and assist in preparing technical proposals, bills of quantities, and equipment requirements
• Ensure installations comply with approved designs, specifications, and industry standards
• Integrate multiple security platforms (CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.) into cohesive solutions
• Prepare technical documentation including installation, maintenance, service, and handover reports
• Provide professional technical support and user training to clients

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, ICT, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Security Systems Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years’ relevant experience in electronic security systems installation and maintenance
• Practical experience with CCTV and Access Control systems (essential)
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, TCP/IP, PoE, switches, VLANs, and structured cabling
• Experience with fibre and copper cabling (added advantage)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and network diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and respond to client support requirements
