Security Training Coordinator at Kenya Airways

Brief Description        

Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of Security Training and monitor its implementation to ensure compliance with training program.

Detailed Description        

• Deliver aviation security training programs as per the calendar to ensure staff gains the knowledge and skills to perform their roles.
• Maintain up to date and accurate aviation security training records to ensure compliance with company standards and aid decision-making.
• Prepare reports on all aviation security training conducted to enable continuous evaluation of programs and facilitate decision-making.
• Participate in the review of training manual and monitor Standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance within operational areas.
• Undertake research on matters of security interest within the industry and provide relevant guidance
• Coordinate the development and implementation of AVSEC training schedule for contracted security services
• Identify and Coordinate Aviation Security Training needs and follow-up on the performance of operational airline staff in line with their AVSEC roles and capability improvement needs
• Liaise with relevant contacts stakeholders to enable smooth coordination of aviation security training.
• Act as subject matter expert for the business with regards to aviation security.
• Offer Training to commercial customers as per signed company contracts
• Assist in the Preparation and implement of AVSEC training Budget
• Assist to ensure the addition of behavioral competences, competence levels and training requirements to role profiles
• Assist in leading the definition of technical and professional competences, competence levels and pre- and post-appointment training requirements and ensure they are included in role profiles and within the learning management system
• Market KQ commercial training programs in order to help contribute to the achievement of commercial objectives.

Job Requirements        

• Diploma in related field
• Basic123 Aviation security
• Two (2) years of operational experience in aviation.
• Train the Trainer Course
• Experience in Documentation of Procedures
• Communication Skills
• IT Knowledge
• knowledge and experience in aviation security operations.
