Drone Pilot at Fargo Courier

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Remote Pilot License (RPL) with minimum of at least five flight hours over the last six months
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Media & Communications, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience in a technical, field- based, media production or data-oriented role.
• Demonstrated interest in technology and the ability to learn new technical systems and applications.
• Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors and in varying environmental conditions.
• Knowledge of video-editing software (eg, Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve).
• Familiarity with GIS and mapping applications (e.g., ArcGIS or QGIS).
• Previous exposure to drone technology or aerial photography.
• Comfortable working with electronics, mechanical systems and digital cameras.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in flight planning, site surveys, risk assessments and preparation of flight documentation.
• Conduct safe drone take-offs, landings, and flight operations in line with approved procedures.
• Operate onboard cameras and sensors for aerial photography, videography, surveillance, and inspection.
• Support routine drone maintenance, firmware updates and battery management.
• Download, organize and maintain captured imagery, video and other flight data.
• Prepare flight logs, mission reports, and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with KCAA regulations, company policies and health and safety requirements.
