Security Warden III - 23 Posts at Ministry of Road and Transport

Salary Scale: Ksh.19, 340 – Ksh. 24, 470 P.M

• Basic Salary: Ksh. 19,340 per month
• House Allowance – Depending on duty station
• Leave Allowance – as existing in the Civil/Service
• Commuter Allowance – Ksh. 3,000 per Month
• Medical Cover – as provided by the Government
• Annual Leave - 30 working days per financial year

Requirements and Appointment:

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Be in possession of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D+ Plus or its equivalent qualification;
• A Certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police;
• Be less than 36 years of age, physically and mentally fit;and
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Before deployment, direct entrants will undergo three (3) months, initial training as Security Warden III and on successful completion of their training, duties and responsibilities will involve patrol and / or guard of access points; detention of unauthorized persons and vehicles entering premises and/or protected areas and taking appropriator action controlling crowds, collecting information and reporting on matters of security interest
