Job Purpose

The Administrative Officers are responsible for developing and implementing effective administration policies, procedures and regulations. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior manager.

Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail: -

• Supervising staff working on the ground, space and office cleaning and ensuring provision of protective gears to minimize health risks;
• Ensuring office property and assets are secure through physical verification in line with available inventory records;
• Monitoring and evaluating of divisional targets through planned activities and set timelines thus accomplished deliverables;
• Ensuring that office equipment and furniture are well maintained;
• Ensuring the general cleanliness of offices on daily and weekly basis;
• Initiating and overseeing implementation of infrastructure project;
• Ensuring office accommodation and space for staff;
• Maintaining housing Inventory;
• Managing transport and logistics; and
• Ensuring a well maintained and updated furniture and office equipment inventory.

Person Specifications​​​​​​​

For appointment to this grade an officer must have:

• Cumulative service period of six (6) years’ work experience three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Administrative Officer I or in a comparable position;
• Bachelor degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
• Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
• Membership to a professional body where applicable; and
• Proficiency in computer application.
