Senior Finance Officer - Supply Chain at Koko Networks

Your Role
As Senior Finance Officer - Supply Chain, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of the Financial aspects of KOKO’s Supply Chain. This is an exciting role that will help shape best practices around operational efficiency, compliance, tax, cost management, and cash flow. The role also includes management and verification of import and export-related documentation, including tax verification, and payment management.

What You Will Do

1. Review and verify all import and export documents, ensuring integrity and compliance with requirements from KRA, KEBS, KPA, and other local and international regulatory bodies
2. Work with colleagues in the Group Supply Chain team to clear international shipments, liaising with vendors and partners to provide required importation documentation
3. Assist the Finance Department with the preparation of financial documents for KRA tax and Customs audits
4. Maintain robust records for each shipment, including shipping entries, invoices, and SWIFT payments
5. Maintain structured communication with Group Supply Chain management and business departments to ensure visibility into order status, timelines, and obstacles
6. Verify all payments to be made for shipment clearing, by confirming tax calculations, and reconciling freight invoices and clearing charges
7. Financial lead in moving strategic projects forward, and in understanding implications of project development, deployment and approval.
8. Learns the background of each of our businesses, understanding the interaction between Supply Chain and departments it touches + challenges assumptions & related cost structures to drive value-creation

What You Will Bring to KOKO

1. 5+ years experience in Finance or Accounting, with at least 1 year related to import/export
2. Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting or any Business related course, and/or have professional papers at least a CPA 4 or ACCA (F9) or higher
3. Demonstrated track record of effective cross-departmental relationship management
4. Good communication, negotiation, and innovation skills
5. Team first attitude + unquestionable integrity
