Senior Lecturer - International Business Management
To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
Design, develop, plan and deliver a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
Deliver high-quality lectures and practicals.
Providing students with real-world learning experiences and guidelines.
Review course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
Carry out research and write research grant proposals.
Seek and participate in consultancies.
Present research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
Dissemination of research outputs.
Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
Ensure all academic activities align with the set standards.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.
Qualification and experience
A PhD in International Business, International Trade or a related field from an accredited University.
A Masters degree in International Business or a related field from an accredited University
A Bachelors degree in Business or a related field from an accredited University.
A minimum of thirty-two (32 equivalent publication points as a Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow, of which twenty-four (24) should be from refereed journal articles.
Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students.
Attracted research funds as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow.
Attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
Evidence of being a member of a relevant professional body.
Evidence of leadership (administrative experience, active participation in departmental /school/university/national/international activities).
