As the Senior Manager of Operations, you will lead and support formulating overall company strategy, managing people and establishing policies. This role reports directly to the VP, of Global Service Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manages all operations, including but not limited to talent management, staff engagement, staffing and resourcing, performance management, staff recognition and events, budgeting, and financial management.
Advises the VP of Global Service Delivery, and at times leads, the development and implementation of support operations strategies, plans, and procedures, and ensures consistency in all operations across the departments.
Proposes and, in some instances, leads the development of processes, policies, and programs to effectively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and support divisional goals.
Identifies opportunities for knowledge- and solution-sharing across the company and takes the initiative to build staff and company capacity.
Develop and manage vendor contracts, create plans for replacements and repairs and oversee 3rd party vendors
Work closely with key stakeholders to project future requirements (governance and compliance) regarding the company to determine the best upgrade paths for equipment and infrastructure- in support of the growth and scale of the organization
Training on Fire drills/ evacuation programs using external certified expertise.
To be an integral part of the Samasource team across other regions.
Audit existing security systems, processes and protocols and develop corrective actions/plans to fix identified gaps.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and ensure contractual agreements are done and monitored within the required standards to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
Review the requirements for the goods or services being provided and suggest alternative items/services that can serve the intended purpose.
Reports and Data: Maintain product costs and master data on the products held and required by the company, including all purchase information and costs.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or delivery
Market Research and Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to make informed decisions regarding procurement strategies and supplier selection.
Minimum Qualifications
More than 6 years of proven experience in operations management
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business administration or other related field
Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge
Experience creating and managing project plans, continual improvement, and operations to support the effective implementation of programs and initiatives
Experience in planning and budgeting
Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
Strong analytical ability
Excellent communication skills
