Location: Head Office, Ruiru

Job Purpose

• Ensure a smooth flow between the Head of Procurement and the product management team.
• Facilitate seamless communication and interaction internally (with respective departments) and externally (suppliers and customers)
• Key focus on Data utilization, analysis, preparation and financial thumbprint on all negotiations and projects/activities.

Job Responsibility and Accountability

• Ensure monthly meetings with the respective departments are held – Sales channels, Marketing, Service and Imports.
• Clear data analysis, planning and agenda for each meeting.
• Ensure time-based strategy for any EOL models.
• Ensure valid Contracts are in place – which are integrated with feedback from the respective departments – Procurement, finance, audit and Exco team.
• Implement Service Level Agreements and track KPIs and Brand P&L for Suppliers
• Ensure all contractual claims are claimed quarterly
• Focus on all data and automation related areas – decisions made in procurement are always based on a combination of data and market understanding.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance the product line up based on channel demands.
• Detailed specification sheets to be maintained for all key brands and categories
• Improvement of internal training material – Range, technical specifications, features, Unique selling points, aesthetical enhancements, warranties, benefits by channel versus competitors, key verticals to target
• Engage with suppliers and strategic partners at the highest level to build strong business relationships.
• Be the link between Hotpoint and the brand principal from a marketing perspective.
• Ensure all departmental operational flows and procedures are updated and adhered to
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification

• Minimum qualification of a degree in business or any other relevant field.

Experience

• At least five years of experience in a senior procurement position
• Previous experience in supply chain matters, with focus on importation
• Extensive knowledge of the channel management, forecasting and strategic planning.
• Extensive knowledge of the retail market sector and consumer electronic products.
• Understanding of market trends and mapping.
• Extensive financial & supply chain knowledge.
• Knowledge of preparation of budgets
• Track record of effective strategy execution.
• Track record of negotiating with suppliers
