    Senior Programme Coordinator

    Duties

    • Oversee coherent approaches in assessing and analysing needs of persons of concern and situations in a participatory manner, using an Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) perspective as basis for planning.
    • Oversee coherent strategic planning processes, including annual planning and the development and monitoring of multi-year protection and solution strategies in line with organisational priorities (global, regional), and contribute to the annual evaluation planning processes.
    • Promote a results based culture, guide offices in managing towards impact, outcomes and outputs and embrace and advice on forward-looking programming solutions.
    • Oversee evidence based prioritisation and resource allocation in line with organisational protection and solutions priorities and established policies, guidelines, procedures and standards.
    • Ensure that UNHCR senior management and offices have access to high-quality and timely analytical insights and advice for enabling evidence based strategic and programmatic decision-making and resource allocation.
    • Provide guidance and advice on the formulation of programme planning and management adapting to the frameworks of the GCR and CRRF as well as understanding the UB Reforms, SDGs and UNDAF.
    • Lead on fostering an evidence based organisation through regular analytical reviews of plans and strategies and appropriate monitoring systems, processes and deliverables, resulting in programmatic course-correction, as appropriate.
    • Lead offices in managing a consultative process to ensure a consistent application of the framework for implementing with partners or selection and retention of partners, management of partnership agreements, risk-based project performance monitoring, and risk-based project audits, among others.
    • Seek and manage partnerships to enable UNHCR¿s effective and collaborative programme delivery in multi-stakeholder processes and frameworks.
    • Operationalise new UN processes and frameworks and UNHCR organisational directions, changes and priorities into coherent programming guidance and tools and enable their effective application.
    • Steer offices in programming policies, approaches and tools, ensure consistent and context specific application of programming guidance.
    • Lead offices in seeking innovative programming approaches, including on planning and monitoring and the sharing of experiences and lessons learned, including based on evaluation.
    • Ensure linkages with evaluation, risk management and audit processes.
    • Lead the establishment of, or collaboration within, regional appeals, HRPs, RRRPs, etc.
    • Perform other related duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Years of Experience / Degree Level

    • For P5 12 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree; or 11 years relevant experience with Graduate degree; or 10 years relevant experience with Doctorate degree
