Position Summary
The position is responsible in supporting the management of records function in the Institute.
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
- Participating in Implementation of records management policies and procedures;
- Securing of files and information;
- Profiling of documents, pending correspondences and bring ups;
- Ensuring compliance with the relevant accordance with relevant laws and regulations on records management;
- Appraisal and disposal of dormant files/documents;
- Classifying and indexing of records;
- Ensuring efficient mail management; and
- Maintaining, verifying and evaluating existing records management systems.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Diploma in Records Management, Information Management, Information Science, Library Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
- Supervisory Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years relevant work experience.
- Shown merit and ability and depicted in work performance
- Computer skills; and
- Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution.
