SHE Supervisor at Aspen Group

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Principal team player in the planning and implementation of SHE management systems in the facility and to ensure safety requirements are met.
• Participate in the generation, editing and formatting of SHE documents e.g. SOPs as and when required.
• Carry out SHE induction trainings and participate in other SHE trainings.
• Conduct daily routine checks in the entire plan and generate SHE reports with requisite corrective action plans.
• Take part in internal audits, make monthly follow up on CAPAs and provide an update on their close outs, keep track of ongoing corrective actions and report on the ones that are overdue.
• Ensure compliance to Aspen Standards and as well as ISO standards on environment and Health & Safety.
• Take part in formulation of the SHE activity calendar and SHE regulatory self-assessment schedule and ensure their compliance. 
• Coordinate investigation of incidents, make follow-up of the action plans made in the recommendations.
• Carry out inspections of the facility and ensure compliance to SHE procedures and guidelines by employees, visitors and contractors.
• Coordinate the service providers by supervising their work and ensuring reports are submitted including requisite licenses/permits.
• Organise SHE committee meetings and chair in the absence of the Head- EHS. Follow up and ensure actionable issues are implemented within the agreed timelines.
• Ensure the fire equipment inspection is done by service providers and carry out monthly checks.
• Take part in energy management to ensure compliance to energy regulations.
• Participate in requisition of services and Goods Received Notes.
• Any other responsibilities assigned to the jobholder by the supervisor from time to time.
