Shift Engineer at Safal Group

Description

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure that production is executed as per plan.
• Compile and submit production reports.
• Ensure compliance to quality standards.
• Schedule work at the Cold Rolling Mill.
• Manage shift manpower placement as per staff strength and ensure discipline of crews in the shift.
• Provide technical support for daily production activities at Cold Rolling Mill.
• Facilitate 6S activities and autonomous maintenance programmes.
• Implement ISO 9001/14001 practiceS.
• Ensure adequate production/ quality records are maintained for shift plus labelling and identification of Cold Rolled Coils.
• Ensure Roll parameters and availability are adequate for continuity of shift production plan provided.
• Monitor critical parameters for rolling (coolant, input & output material, rolls) and initiate correction of any abnormal deviations.
• Ensure safety of persons in Cold Rolling Mill and safe operation of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by CRM production engineer.

Requirements

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Chemical, Industrial or equivalent).
• SAP knowledge and computer literate
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in steel manufacturing industry.
• Be a registered member of engineering professional body
