    Site Operations Coordinator (Boiler Operations & Maintenance)

    Job Purpose

    The Site Operations Coordinator (Boiler Operations and Maintenance) is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and optimizing day-to-day boiler site operations. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant boiler operations and maintenance while acting as the primary site focal point between operators, technicians, contractors, head office, clients, and regulatory authorities. The position aims to achieve high boiler availability, statutory compliance, and seamless end-to-end site operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Site Coordination & Team Supervision

    • Coordinate daily activities of boiler operators, maintenance technicians, and contractors.
    • Allocate duties, monitor attendance, task execution, productivity, and site discipline.
    • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and on-the-job coaching.
    • Ensure staff adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and company policies.
    • Act as the primary site liaison between operations, maintenance teams, and head office.

    Performance Monitoring & Reporting

    • Monitor site KPIs including boiler uptime, efficiency, maintenance completion, safety performance, fuel, water, and chemical consumption.
    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational and maintenance reports.
    • Analyze trends, identify deviations, and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
    • Escalate operational risks, incidents, and non-conformities in a timely manner.

    Boiler Operations & Regulatory Compliance

    • Coordinate and supervise daily boiler operations, monitoring, and shift handovers.
    • Ensure boilers operate within approved safety, operational, and design parameters.
    • Coordinate statutory inspections, pressure tests, certifications, and license renewals.
    • Maintain accurate boiler logs, water treatment records, test results, and compliance documentation.
    • Ensure adherence to applicable boiler laws, environmental regulations, and industry standards.

    Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

    • Enforce safety procedures, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
    • Conduct routine risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections.
    • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of fuels, chemicals, and waste materials.
    • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous SHE improvement on site.

    Maintenance Planning & Execution

    • Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
    • Supervise breakdown response and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
    • Ensure availability and proper management of critical spares, tools, and consumables.
    • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance works with internal teams and contractors.
    • Verify maintenance quality and close work orders as per procedures

    Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

    • Liaise with head office engineering, operations, and procurement teams.
    • Coordinate with regulatory authorities, inspectors, auditors, and clients during site visits.
    • Manage vendors, suppliers, and service providers, including performance monitoring.
    • Support commissioning, decommissioning, modifications, and system upgrades.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
    • Valid Boiler Operator Certificate as per regulatory requirements (added advantage).
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial boiler operations and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
    • Hands-on experience with industrial boilers, auxiliaries, water treatment systems, and utilities.
    • Strong knowledge of boiler operations, maintenance practices, and safety systems.
    • Ability to coordinate mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance activities.
    • Leadership and people management skills.
    • Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management abilities.
    • High safety awareness with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
    • Good computer skills (MS Excel, reporting tools, CMMS).
