Site Reliability Engineer (AWS) at MessageBird

SREs help drive the reliability engineering culture within MessageBird and lead the transition and adoption of those practices across the Engineering teams.

They work both widely across the Engineering organization as well as deeply within specific teams to build strong, reliable foundations and lasting changes.

What You’ll Do

• Evangelization of SRE practices across Engineering as a whole
• Work with teams to understand where we can proactively improve the reliability of our systems
• Support the product and engineering org with ensuring proper alignment of SLOs with our long term goals
• Build tooling to increase the flexibility and scalability of the platform

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in Backend Software Engineering and SRE
• Experience of design, deployment, and scaling production environments at a very large scale
• Strong knowledge of SLI/SLO/SLAs, monitoring and alerting best practices
• A good grasp of GoLang
• Extensive experience with container management systems such as Kubernetes
• Extensive experience with public Cloud Platforms such as GCP or AWS
• Strong knowledge of Cloud infrastructure principles such as load balancing, high availability, server/serverless architecture, and database configurations
• Tech-Tier-3
