Social/GBV Expert at Runji & Partners, Consulting Engineers Ltd

Responsibilities:

• The sociologist/gender-based violence expert will be responsible for all social and GBV aspects of the Project including review of any available Environmental Social Reports. This will include setting up of the grievance redress mechanisms (GRM) as well supporting the timely uptake, processing and resolution of complaints and grievances.
• Assist in drafting and factoring RAP budget during the preparation of the Feasibility study for the intermediate project and long term projects. Assist in implementation of RAP where applicable. Tasked in reviewing the designs of immediate water works ensuring EMP/ESMP is budgeted for in the Bills of Quantities. Ensure the bidding documents are in order and ready for tendering.

Qualification:

• Should have a university degree in a relevant field (preferably a Master's degree) and at least 8 years work experience in the prevention and mitigation of Sexual Harassment and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse in order to contribute to the drafting, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the implementation of the GBV Action Plan to prevent and mitigate GBV risks associated with the project.
