    Software Engineer II: Windows Admin Centre

    The Windows Admin Center team works closely with users (IT Pros, Sys Admins), Product Managers, Customer service and other Core OS partner teams to make sure that we are continuously evolving our management experiences to meet our ever-changing IT security and operating environments.

    Joining our team is a fantastic opportunity to work with talented engineers across AE+P in delivering on the next set of big challenges critical for Microsoft’s growth. 

    Responsibilities

    A successful candidate will be expected to:

    • Write well structured, modularized, secure, and reusable code and participate in code reviews improving quality all-round WAC. ​
    • Work closely with the various AE+P teams and Product Management (Core OS, Windows Server) teams to ensure timely turnaround in delivering exciting new features on WAC
    • Identifying and providing bug fixes within the WAC platform.
    • Work closely with customer service and support engineers to ensure that any customer issues are resolved within the shortest time possible.
    • You will consider testability, portability, reliability and maintainability of your code and understand when the code is ready to be shared and delivered​.
    • Participate in on call rotations to provide Livesite support for WAC customers worldwide.

    Qualifications

    • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent field
    • 3+ years of industry software engineering experience
    • 2+ years of experience with C#/Java/JavaScript
    • Experience with Angular is an added advantage

    Preferred:

    • Motivated engineer who can learn quickly on an evolving set of technologies
    • Fantastic problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
    • Solid design and development skills
    • Ability to clearly explain complex bug/issues
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks competently
    • Experience in debugging is an added advantage
    • Familiarity with Windows OS, devices and Windows application development
