Developing M&E guidelines, data collection, management and analysis protocols
Statistical analysis of routine project and study data
Actively interrogating data for discrepancies, errors, and missing data, to verify the accuracy and validity
Liaising with study investigators on study design, sampling, data quality and resolving any errors according to the study protocol and good clinical practice standards
Ensuring source documents are safeguarded and that optimal data quality is maintained
Ensuring a clean log frame of data queries and how they have been resolved
Participating in the development of project reports, abstracts, manususcripts, and presentations for dissemination and learning
Developing standard operating procedures for data management
Discussing and interpreting results with the research team and collaborators
Ensuring deadlines and project milestones relating to data and analyses are met
Job Specifications, Applicants shall have
Masters degree in Biostatistics PLUS a Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following areas: Statistics, Mathematics or Biometry.
At least five (5) years working experience in handling research health information systems
Experience in writing scientific manuscripts and writing grants
Excellent computer skills and competence in either R, Stata or other statistical package for quantitative analysis.
At least one (1) year of experience working with donor-funded projects in a similar position or related field
Posess the following: skills in database development, good analytical and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and also be able to work under pressure ad meeti deadlines.
