Supply Chain Officer at Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited (Kenya Re)

Primary Responsibilities

• The main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
• Preparing and requesting for tenders/quotations/proposals from suppliers;
• Working with user departments on their terms of reference/specifications;
• Carrying out designated checks on quality and security aspects of procurement;
• Ensure equitable and fair distribution of requests for proposals to all prequalified suppliers;
• Taking part in the opening and onward processing of the quotations;
• Providing technical and secretariat services during evaluations; 
• Producing of Local Purchase Orders (LPO);
• Liaising with suppliers on the progress in the delivery of goods/services/works;
• Preparation of statutory reports to PPRA; 
• Market Surveys;
• Contract management. 

THE PERSON
Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any business-related field, procurement and logistics will be an added advantage.
• Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies
• Must be a member of Kenya Institute of Supplies and Management (MKISM). Membership to Member of Chartered 
• Institute of Purchasing Supplies (MCIPS) will be an added advantage.
• Previous relevant work experience required
• 4 years’ experience with at least four with a Public Institution or any other established institution.
