Job Description

We are currently looking for a Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central Developer to join our team. The developer will work on implementations, upgrades, and functional changes of bespoke software for our implementations. This role requires you to use your software engineering and architecture skills to create innovative solutions that solve challenging problems.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in ERP implementation, process analysis, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly Dynamics NAV).
• Collaborate with third party service providers to troubleshoot and resolve system issues, perform system upgrades, and apply patches.
• Receive requests from users, analyze the requests and propose / develop a solution.
• Develop interfaces when required and create ad hoc user reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to our Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central installations.
• Provide end-user training on system functionalities, best practices, and procedures to ensure smooth usage.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to ERP systems and business processes.
• Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central and provide recommendations for system enhancements.
• Be the champion for all Sacco software projects.
• Perform any other function assigned by the line manager.

Skills Required 

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience with implementing / Supporting Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central in multiple projects.
• Expert knowledge of coding in both C/AL and AL
• Proficient in configuring and customizing Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central modules in a Sacco / Financial services institutions.
• Familiarity with integration tools and techniques to connect Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central with other applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to understand complex business processes.
• BI implementation & development knowledge.
• Excellent Knowledge of Visual Studio, C#, .NET SQL Server.
• Understanding of version control concepts.
• Ability to design a coding structure that is easy to maintain and expand.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues related to NAV/BC code.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic changing environment.
• Ability to work within a team or as an individual.
• Organized with effective personal time management.
• Logical and analytical thinking.
• Good communication skills – verbal and written.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Business Central are advantageous.
• Knowledge on Microsoft dynamics 365 CRM will an added advantage
