Lodge Engineer at Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa

Responsibilities;

• Implementing and managing preventative and corrective maintenance programs
• Preparing proper departmental analysis reports for the senior management
• Managing Fire and Safety procedures / equipment
• Managing the power Back-up System & Repairing any electricity and light failures
• Maintenance of laundry machines, kitchen equipment and other electronics
• Ensures compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures.
• Manages department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
• Select and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings as may be required.
• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.
• Supervises the day-to-day operations of Engineering department.
• Fleet management and ensure proper vehicle maintenance 
• To deploy staff resources economically and appropriately as well as departmental man power planning.

Requirements;

• Have excellent personal skills, a motivator and be accountable to Engineering team at all times.
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Refrigeration 
• 5 years’ experience as a Lodge Engineer or Hotel Assistant Engineer 
• Proven leadership and entrepreneurial skills
• Proficient in English both oral and written
• Excellent computer skills (MS word, Excel and Outlook)
